Grans is a tiny village in Provence, halfway between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. Surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation, Grans is very attractive for tourists thanks to its cuisine based on local products and its typical production of olive oil.
Within this lovely setting, you can find La Table de Grans – a restaurant serving tapas and reinterpreted traditional dishes, located in a stunning Art Nouveau-style villa, recently restored.
The restaurant’s inner room was part of this redesign project; the owner Mr. Dubourg examined the wide range of KE Gennius products and after a detailed analysis by Grans municipality’s Technical Office, a Gennius Isola 2 pergola awning was chosen, with a retractable-folding roof featuring a Précontraint 622 Serge Ferrari black-out fabric.
Isola 2 was appreciated for its minimalist lines and its peculiar lowered-arch roof. The finishing touch was a LED strip added on the whole internal perimeter, to create a perfect evening atmosphere for dinners and aperitifs.
Isola 2 perfectly fits in Grans’ rural setting. The product also allows the insertion of sliding, panoramic glass doors – the owner is considering this option to use this space also during winter months.
