KE: HYDRA awarded the prestigious Archiproducts Design Award 2020
KE is among the winners of the fifth edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards. HYDRA – the brand-new pergola awning with wrapped fabric with clean lines and refined design – has been awarded the prestigious title.
Among over 750 nominated products from all over the world, the jury – made up of prestigious international architecture studios, communication agencies, journalists and architectural photographers – awarded the skilful combination of elegance, design and technology. KE’s proposal has in fact distinguished itself in the Outdoor category as one of the best solutions for originality, innovation and experimentation.
“We are particularly proud of this award – says Simone Mazzon, CEO of KE. This award gives credit to our commitment to stylistic research and attention to the smallest details, which has never stopped even in a difficult year like this one. A success that gives us the stamina – continues Mazzon – to continue our mission as reference points of Made in Italy and to distinguish ourselves in the sector “.
The latest addition to the GENNIUS pergola awnings family, HYDRA stands out for its versatility. Available in different configurations, in the roof-only version, the wrapped fabric is completely enclosed within a box of new technical conception, which emphasizes its minimal aesthetics.
The integrated lighting on the guides and on the box completes the product, making the pergola usable even during the evening hours. Furthermore, it can be connected to a smartphone or other home automation devices for simplified product management.
The range of fabrics available allows the widest range of customization as well as a shielding adaptable to various needs. In particular, the innovative Irisun Blockout fabric – exclusive to KE – the first non-PVC blackout fabric, which guarantees total shielding from sunrays. Available in various two-tone shades, the external side is in acrylic while the internal side is in polyester and inside there is a waterproof darkening membrane that acts as a shield to the transmission of light and heat.
HYDRA can be closed laterally and also frontally with the new box terminal applicable to the front profile, all without visible fixings, for an optimal aesthetic result.
