Built in 1904, Royal Riviera – once known as Hotel Bedford, as a tribute to its first British visitors – soon became an exclusive destination for the contemporary elite, for sovereigns and prominent personalities, who spent long holidays there.
Located on the promenade of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Royal Riviera is a 5-star luxury resort that welcomes its guests with a gorgeous panoramic swimming pool, from which Cap Ferrat’s bay can be fully admired.
The owner wanted to renovate the outdoor restaurant area, in order to ensure total comfort and protection to guests even in case of bad weather. The project was entrusted to KE’s PMO Department – dealing with major tailor-made projects for the contract sector. For the dining area, 7 ISOLA 2 pergola awnings were installed, with an anodised-silver structure and PVC white fabric.
Furthermore, under Isola 2’s roof, some Gennius Tens horizontal awnings were inserted – in a microfiltering Soltis 92 fabric with shading function – to be used when the PVC fabric is opened.
For the bar area, 3 KEDRY PLUS bioclimatic pergolas with an adjustable-louvered roof were chosen, in the same anodised-silver colour. The structures are all equipped with LED lights on the perimeter, in addition to panoramic sliding glass doors on its sides, fixed sea-facing glass doors and vertical sliding glass doors on the sides of the swimming pool.
A peculiarity of this project is the presence of two palm trees jutting out from the pergolas’ roof: in order to keep them, an ad-hoc solution involving a fixed part was conceived.
