In the center of Hasselt, the capital of the Belgian province of Limburg, you can breathe a lively atmosphere, strolling through traditional masonry houses, refined shops and art galleries. Here you will find a modern-style brasserie named Theatercafe, which offers breakfasts, brunches and informal dinners. Among its peculiarities is a large outdoor area decorated with bright planters and modern outdoor furniture.
KE Boflex dealer was contacted by the brasserie owners to find a versatile shading solution in line with the minimal architectural style.
The client requirement was to create a sheltered area to take full advantage of the outdoors in any season, increasing the covered seats. An “island of well-being” to live the brasserie outdoor space all year round, without worrying about any weather variations.
The choice fell on the pergola Gennius Isola 2 made of 3 modules placed side by side, in black inver color with gray Soltis fabric. Isola 2 has been appreciated for its minimal lines and the particular low arched roof. To ensure maximum comfort for brasserie customers, the roofs can be opened individually to modulate the amount of light.
For further protection glass parapets have been placed on the perimeter, furnished with benches and green flowerbeds that delimit the area.
As a finishing touch, a LED strip has been added along the entire internal perimeter creating the right lounge atmosphere for aperitifs and dinners.
