Description of the project
We are in Nice, in the middle of the Promenade des Anglais. “La Prom” as the inhabitants of Nice affectionately call it, is one of the iconic symbols of the city, once a favorite place for English aristocrats to go for a walk, it is today a fashionable meeting place for beach and sports lovers.
Here the “Blue Beach“ welcomes sunbathers with a splendid view of the bay in a refined and quiet environment, despite its central location. The restaurant is open year ’round for a pleasant lunch and is an unmissable experience in the evening.
The property turned to the PMO office of KE to study the best solution for the restaurant area. The goal was to make this space blend harmoniously with the beach and the sea to provide a feeling of a break au bord de l’eau but protected from the sun and rain.
The client opted for the KEDRY PRIME louvered roof pergola. The aluminum structure contains adjustable blades that, thanks to its wide modularity in width and projection, is suitable for covering large surfaces, allowing proper ventilation and shaded light when needed and also provides a water-tight roof in case of unfavorable weather.
To complete the structure, motorized zippered screns and crystal curtains were added. In addition, to ensure the perfect atmosphere even after sunset, LED strip lights add warm lighting along the perimeter. The white color of the structure unifies all the buildings of the Promenade and harmonizes well with the blue of the sea and the sky.
KE’s experience in producing tailor-made projects for hotels and restaurants has once again been able to meet the demands of the client, proposing an elegeant, high-performance solution.
